Last week in healthcare funding moved serious money across 10 deals. 💰
From metastatic cancer to provider credentialing to youth mental health, the breadth was notable.
Here is every deal I could verify:
🔹 AdvanCell, $315M, Series D. Advancing ADVC001, a Lead-212 PSMA-targeted radioligand therapy for metastatic prostate cancer toward Phase 3. The round was oversubscribed and upsized.
🔹 Beeline Medicines, $126.3M, Series A extension, bringing total Series A to $426.3M. Developing a portfolio of highly selective therapeutic candidates targeting the underlying causes of immune-mediated diseases including lupus and atopic dermatitis.
🔹 RQ Bio, $115M, Series A. Advancing RQB01, designed to deliver broad protection against influenza through a dual mechanism of action targeting conserved epitopes. Round described as oversubscribed.
🔹 Flare Therapeutics, $85M, Series C. Concentrating resources on FX-111, a first-in-class degrader targeting ARON, the transcriptionally active androgen receptor for prostate cancer.
🔹 Lycia Therapeutics, $75M, Series D. Advancing programs for food allergy and Graves’ disease via its LYTAC degrader platform. Round described as oversubscribed.
🔹 TYBR Health, $30M, Series A, led by Vensana Capital and Mutual Capital Partners. An orthopaedic hydrogel platform designed to support healing following surgery.
🔹 Flourish Health, $26M, Series A, led by B Capital, F-Prime, and Cherryrock Capital. An in-home care model for children and young adults with serious complex mental health needs.
🔹 Assured Health, $19M, Series A, led by Insight Partners. An AI-native platform that automates healthcare provider credentialing and payer enrollment, getting providers in-network faster.
🔹 Karoo Health, $16.2M, Series A, co-led by 7wire Ventures and Allumia Ventures. An AI-native operating system for cardiovascular care, based in Albuquerque, NM.
🔹 SoundHealth, $12.25M, Series A, led by Shangbay Capital. An AI-enabled wearable device platform targeting sleep and breathing disorders.
The pattern across last week is hard to miss.
🔎 What to watch: Seven of these ten deals were Series A rounds. That is the pattern worth saving. Capital is not just concentrating in mega-rounds at the top. There is real appetite for conviction bets at earlier stages across oncology, operational infrastructure, and behavioral health. If you are raising a Series A in any of these lanes right now, the environment is not as frozen as the macro noise suggests.

I help patients get the care they need earlier, preventing late-stage cancer.
That’s been the throughline across three companies and almost 20 years in healthcare. At ReferralMD, we fixed broken referral networks so patients didn’t fall through the cracks. At Oatmeal Health, it’s lung cancer: building the diagnostic and screening infrastructure so the 85% of cases caught too late get caught early instead.
Today as CEO of Oatmeal Health, I lead a team embedding AI into radiology workflows to turn routine lung CT scans into reimbursable cancer risk assessments. We partner with FQHCs to reach underserved communities, and with health systems and payers to make early detection economically sustainable. Think HeartFlow or Cleerly, but for lungs.
Between companies, I advised at Techstars and Plug and Play, mentoring founders building in digital health. That experience shaped how I think about what separates companies that ship from companies that stall: distribution, reimbursement, and clinical trust, not just technology.
I’m a CancerX alumnus, a 3x healthcare founder, and someone who believes the biggest problems in cancer aren’t scientific. They’re operational.
We’re hiring mission-driven builders at Oatmeal Health. If you want to work on something that matters, reach out.
When I’m not working, I’m traveling, mentoring, and keeping up with one very energetic husky. 🐾

Millions of patients get less care because of who they are, where they live, or how they look. I’m fighting to change that. CEO @OatmealHealth, a startup built for the underserved. The Oatmeal Bite: intel for clinicians, investors, and advocates.
