A doctor writes a prescription. The real nightmare starts after.
Insurance approval. Prior authorization. Copay assistance paperwork. Specialty pharmacy routing. Most patients never even see this maze. They just wonder why their medication hasn’t arrived.

Forus is building the infrastructure to make that maze disappear.

According to AlleyWatch, the New York-based AI company just closed a $150 million Series C round led by Bain Capital Ventures, reaching a $3 billion valuation. That valuation tripled in roughly four months.

The round included Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, Accel, Redpoint, BoxGroup, Pear VC, Vast Ventures, and SV Angel. Total funding now exceeds $300 million. Founder Sahir Jaggi started this company in 2023.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Three years old. $300 million raised. $3 billion valuation. That kind of trajectory doesn’t happen by accident.

🔹 What Forus actually does: it deploys AI agents to handle the entire prescription-to-treatment workflow, automating prior authorizations, copay assistance, and specialty pharmacy coordination at no cost to providers or patients.

🔹 The revenue model: biopharma partnerships. Nine of the world’s 15 largest biopharma companies are already on platform.

🔹 The reach: live across all 50 US states, covering patients in 85% of residential ZIP codes.

Here is what the round actually signals to me as a founder.

Bain Capital Ventures has been in since seed. That continuity matters. When a tier-one firm leads your Series C after backing you from day one, it means they have seen every internal number, every early stumble, and they are still doubling down. That is not momentum investing. That is conviction.

The speed of capital also tells you something. Forus raised more than $160 million in May 2026 and another $150 million in September. That is two massive rounds in less than five months. Investors are not waiting for proof. They are racing to own more before the window closes.

The biopharma revenue model is the sleeper story here. Most healthcare AI startups are still arguing about whether hospitals will pay for software. Forus sidestepped that entire battle. Biopharma pays because faster access to treatment means faster revenue for them. The alignment is clean.

What this means for the rest of us building in healthcare: the access layer is being rebuilt from scratch. The friction between prescription and patient is not a policy problem anymore. It is an infrastructure problem. And infrastructure problems get solved with capital and time.

Forus just proved both are available.
